The hotel is in a brilliant area, very close to the East Side Gallery and the event I attended. The rooms are compact but nicely done out, so they don't feel too small, and they are generally well sound-proofed. The service is friendly and joyful, giving you the first drink on the house, making it feel like you're cheers-ing with friends. The location is good, with perfect access to Berlin's efficient public transport system. However, there are no good cafes or restaurants right on the doorstep. The dining had a great selection, though it was fairly lacking in hot items initially and has become more expensive over time. The fresh coffee is a plus.
